Run your own ride-hailing service
Black-car, livery, local taxi, resort shuttle — if you move people, Waitlist App gives you a branded booking storefront where riders request a car, plus live driver dispatch, on-map tracking, distance-and-time fare quotes, scheduled pickups and in-app payments with automatic driver payouts. No per-ride cut to a national platform, and the customer stays yours.
What a dispatch operation actually needs
- A rider booking storefront. Your own branded page where a rider sets a pickup and dropoff, picks a tier — sedan, SUV, limo — and sees the fare before they book. No app to download.
- Live driver dispatch. A ride request is broadcast to your on-shift drivers; the first to accept gets it, and the rider watches the car approach on the map.
- Fare quotes that make sense. Set a base fare, a per-mile and per-minute rate and a minimum per tier; the fare is quoted up front from real driving distance and time.
- Scheduled pickups. Riders book now or for later — airport runs, event nights, standing reservations.
- Payments and payouts. Take card payment in-app and split each fare to the driver automatically, so there's no end-of-shift cash to chase.
- Your whole fleet in sync. Drivers, dispatchers and the office see the same live board — who's available, who's on a ride, and where every car is.
How it works
For your riders
A rider opens your storefront link, enters pickup and dropoff, and picks a tier. They see the fare and estimated pickup time before confirming. Once a driver accepts, they watch the car approach on a live map and get a link to follow the whole trip — no account, no app install.
For your drivers
Drivers go on shift from their phone. New ride requests arrive as offers they can accept; the driver portal guides them from pickup to dropoff with a handoff to their maps app, and the fare is settled and split automatically at the end.
For dispatch
Your dispatch board shows every driver's status and position in real time, the active and scheduled rides, and a fleet summary. Assign, reassign or step in whenever you need to.
Common setups
Black-car & livery
Sedan, SUV and stretch-limo tiers with premium fares and scheduled airport and event pickups. Riders book from your own branded storefront instead of a national app that takes a cut and owns your customer.
Local taxi or driver co-op
Put your whole fleet on one live board, broadcast requests to on-shift drivers, and pay drivers out automatically — the coordination a dispatcher used to do by radio, on a screen.
Hotel, resort & venue shuttle
Let guests request a ride to and from the property, with your drivers dispatched from the same board the front desk already watches.
What you get — and what's Pro
Ride-hailing is a serious operation, so here's the honest split:
- Pro capability: the rider booking storefront, live driver dispatch and tracking, fare quotes, scheduled pickups, the driver portal and the dispatch board are part of the Dispatch capability on a paid plan. This isn't a free walk-in waitlist — it's a full car-service back office.
- Payments: in-app card payment and automatic driver payouts run on Stripe and are available where we've enabled payments; where they aren't yet, you can still dispatch, track and settle fares your own way.
We won't pretend a dispatch platform is a free feature — it's the paid, grown-up version of the product.
Frequently asked questions
Do riders need to download an app?
No. Riders book from your storefront link in any web browser and follow their trip from a private link. Nothing to install.
How are fares calculated?
You set a base fare, a per-mile and per-minute rate and a minimum for each tier. The fare is quoted from the real driving distance and time between pickup and dropoff, so the rider sees the price before they book.
How do drivers get paid?
Card payments are captured in-app and each fare is split to the driver automatically via Stripe payouts, so there's no end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
Can riders schedule a ride for later?
Yes. Riders can book immediately or schedule a pickup for a future time — airport runs, event nights and standing reservations all work.
Can I run more than one vehicle class?
Yes. Run as many tiers as you like — for example sedan, SUV and stretch limo — each with its own capacity and fare.
See it live, then run your own
The fastest way to understand it is to use it: open the live ride-hailing storefront, book a demo ride and watch a driver get dispatched on the map. When you're ready, spin up your own branded storefront, add your tiers and fares, and put your drivers on shift.
